at Kailani
NCB Group, the developer behind Kailani, is one of the Cayman Islands’ leading sustainable builders, its mission to operate with Cayman’s future in mind. Cayman is its passion, and as such, Kailani maintains environmental sustainability as an ethos.
Renewable energy and energy-efficient mechanical, electrical and plumbing elements have been intelligently integrated throughout the hotel. Solar water heating, water recycling, geothermal cooling, SMART building management systems and LED lighting are a few features that will significantly reduce operating costs, lower Kailani’s reliance on the electrical grid and minimise its carbon footprint.
Additionally, NCB Group is proud to own a 32-acre farm on the island that will supply fresh produce to Kailani’s restaurants, providing a farm-to-table experience for guests. As well as lowering the emissions associated with shipping, restaurant compost will return to the farm’s crops, further reducing impact and waste.
